Madhya Pradesh is looking at heavy to very heavy rain as well; West Madhya Pradesh especially, though East Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha are seeing their share of rainfall too. Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha are also bracing for widespread rain, with isolated pockets of heavy rainfall expected in several areas. On top of that, the IMD is warning of thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds across parts of these states.
Jharkhand Issues Flash Flood Warning
Jharkhand is already dealing with the effects of heavy rain; the IMD has issued a flash flood warning covering 10 districts after heavy rainfall hit large parts of the state. With more rain on the way, people living in low-lying or flood-prone areas are being told to stay alert and follow whatever instructions local authorities put out.
Delhi-NCR Also Likely to See Rain
Delhi and the areas around it aren’t out of the picture either. The IMD expects rainfall over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, and parts of western Uttar Pradesh over the next few days.
