Indian Railways has introduced a new mobile application for passengers called RailOne. This app is designed to provide all railway-related services in one place, removing the need to download multiple apps. With RailOne, passengers can easily book tickets, check train information, lodge complaints, give feedback, and even purchase platform tickets, all through a single platform.

What RailOne Offers

According to the Ministry of Railways, RailOne will cover every major service including:

  • Reserved ticket booking (IRCTC)
  • Unreserved ticket booking (UTS)
  • Platform ticket booking
  • PNR status check
  • Train tracking and coach position updates
  • Rail Madad for complaints and feedback
  • Travel experience feedback

The aim behind this initiative is to provide passengers with a seamless digital experience and save them from the inconvenience of juggling between multiple railway apps.

One App, One Login

Until now, passengers needed separate apps such as IRCTC Rail Connect, UTS, Rail Madad, eCatering, and NTES. With RailOne, all of these services are now available under one roof.

Another major benefit is that there will no longer be a need to remember different usernames and passwords for each app. Passengers who already have an account on IRCTC Rail Connect or UTSonMobile can directly log in to RailOne with their existing credentials.

Railway e-Wallet

RailOne introduces a digital railway wallet for faster and more secure transactions. Passengers can pay for tickets and other services directly from this e-Wallet, protected with an mPIN or biometric login for safety.

Easy Registration and Guest Login

The registration process for new users has been simplified. Passengers can sign up using just their mobile number and an OTP. For quick access, the app also offers a guest login option.

Available on Android and iOS

RailOne is available for download on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, making it accessible to the majority of smartphone users.

Why RailOne Was Created

Earlier, passengers had to rely on multiple apps for different services:

  • IRCTC Rail Connect for reserved tickets
  • UTS for unreserved tickets
  • Rail Madad for complaints and feedback
  • eCatering Food on Track for meals
  • NTES for live train status and tracking

Managing all of these apps was time-consuming and inconvenient. RailOne brings all services under a single app, saving both time and memory space on passengers’ devices.

Solving IRCTC App Problems

The existing IRCTC app has faced frequent complaints from users due to technical glitches and server downtime, especially during Tatkal bookings. Many passengers have expressed their frustration on social media and even tagged Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav about these issues. RailOne is expected to solve these problems and ensure a smoother booking experience for travelers.
