Uttarakhand Helicopter Crash: 4 Tourists Killed, Rescue Operations Underway

4 Tourists Die- Four tourists were killed in a helicopter crash near Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand on Thursday morning. The helicopter, carrying six people, crashed while en route to Harsil helipad. According to reports, four passengers lost their lives while two others sustained injuries and are currently receiving treatment.

Chief Minister Expresses Condolences

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami confirmed the tragic incident on social media and expressed his condolences to the bereaved families. In his message, he wrote:
“May God grant peace to the souls of those who died in the accident and give strength to the bereaved families to bear this immense loss.”

The Chief Minister also stated that he has directed the administration to provide all necessary assistance to the injured and to launch a thorough investigation into the cause of the crash. “I am in constant touch with officials, and every situation is being closely monitored,” he added.

Helicopter Was Flying to Harsil Helipad

The helicopter had departed from Dehradun and was flying towards Harsil helipad. 4 Tourists Die The passengers were scheduled to travel an additional 30 kilometers by road to Gangnani after landing.

Rescue and Relief Efforts

Teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and the district administration quickly reached the crash site to carry out rescue and relief operations. Efforts are underway to assist the injured and secure the area.

The District Magistrate of Uttarkashi has also left for the location to oversee the rescue operations. Authorities have confirmed that an investigation is in progress to determine the cause of the crash.
