But as doctors say, the coronavirus can be prevented from spreading through N95 masks. N95 masks use a special filtering technology that can also filter the virus of COVID-19.

A research paper submitted to the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University explains the technology used in N95. The common face mask works on a triple layer filtration principal. In the filtration principle used in face masks, the holes in the cloth layer are so small that people may have difficulty breathing. The N95 mask works on a three-way principal.

Inertial inspection- Aerosol or dust particle has a size of 1 micron or more, with adequate inertia. When these particles fall on the mask material, they are filtered with the help of its filtration layer.

Diffusion- This principle is mainly used for particles that are more than 0.1 microns and less than 1 micron. Through this principle, the parts are also filtered, which are low in inertia.

Electrostatic traction-through this principal mechanism, electrocharged polymers or resin fibers trap small and large parts by charging the opposite. After which we get a clean air filter.

Based on these three principals, the mask-making companies design their N95 masks. This mask has enough ability to filter the air, which makes the mask recommend.

Vextron, a company that makes Indian technology products, has also launched its N95 mask in the past days. The same principle has also been used in this mask. We have been using this mask for the last few days. The best thing we found is that it comes with 5 layer protection. The first layer is of non-woolen fabric. The second layer is given of melt-blown fabric. Thereafter, the third layer is given hot air filter cotton. Again, it has been given the fourth layer of melt-blown fabric. The fifth and last layer is given soft non-woolen fabric.

This N95 mask is FDA certified and approved by CE. According to the company's claim, it works on the filtration efficiency of up to 99.5%. This mask can also filter a particle with a diameter of 0.3 microns. It can also filter allergic viruses, bacteria, dust, droplets, and other harmful ous-based particles. Its stripe is also quite complex and has been given an adjustable metal band. The price is Rs. 299.
