How Did Covid-19 evolved the Education System?

People won’t alter their lives because of the pandemic and the education system is doing everything they can to give the studies the young minds need.

But the one thing that had not changed is the schooling fee over many states. But this is also about to come to a bright aspect as the Odisha government has taken a step towards changes in the fee of private schools, financially aided or not. Private schools have been asked to waive fees as per the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) entered on September 10 last year.

School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash has declared that the order has been issued and will be practiced soon.

The order states that there will be a waiver of 26 per cent in school fees above Rs one lakh per annum, 25 per cent for fees between Rs 72,001 and Rs 1 lakh, and 20 per cent for fees between Rs 48,001 and Rs 72,000.  Along with that, a waive of 15% will be seen in the anual fee of schools demanding Rs 24,001 and Rs 48,000, 12 per cent in fees between Rs 12,001 and Rs 24,000, and 7.5 per cent in fees between Rs 6,001 and Rs 12,000 per annum.

A reduction of hostel fee by 30% will also come into effect. This happened after several PILs were filed in the High Court last year to seek waiver in fees of private schools in leu of the Covid-19 pandemic.
