After nearly two months of lockdown, the government has decided to run passenger trains. Today, on 11th May 2020, at 4 pm, booking for 15 trains from the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website and Rail Connect app will commence, and trains will run from tomorrow, i.e., 12th May. Bookings will be online only, all booking counters will remain closed. These 15 trains will go from New Delhi to Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneswar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad and Jammu Tawi. These will also include return journeys. These trains will have only AC coaches, and the fare will be similar to Rajdhani trains. Let's know all the ways of booking online tickets and payment...

Registration for online railway tickets is required:

Most of you will be aware of online railway ticket booking, but there will be many people who will not be aware of it. The most important thing for online booking of railway tickets is that you should have an IRCTC account. If you do not have an IRCTC account, first click on this link and register yourself. Information such as full name, address, mobile number, date of birth will be sought from you as per the Aadhaar card for registration. After registration, you will be able to book tickets by logging into the IRCTC website and Rail Connect app with the same ID. If you have forgotten the password, you can also log in through OTP. Just below the password box, you will also get the option of an OTP login.

How to book from IRCTC website:

First, go to the IRCTC website and log in. Then search the train. Let the trains running from 12th May will not stop everywhere. You have to carefully select your destination station. After selecting the station, click on the class (sleeper, 1AC, 2AC, 2AC) next to the name of the train you have to travel and then click the book now. Then enter the passenger name, age, mobile number, and enter the captcha code. Then you have to make a payment. You can get a debit/debit payment for payment. There will be many options like a credit card, internet banking, UPI. After the payment, the PNR number will come to your registered mobile number.

How to book from IRCTC Rail Connect app:

If your phone has an IRCTC rail connect app, it is not correct. Otherwise, click here to download the app. In the app, you need to enter a password separately that you have to use every time you open the app. The app's password will be four digits. Now click on the Login button on the right and top of the app and login with the IRCTC ID password. Now click on Plan my journey and search the train by entering the station name. Then click on the class (sleeper, 1AC, 2AC, 2AC) next to the name of the train and then click the book now. Then enter the passenger name, age, mobile number, and enter the captcha code. Then you have to make a payment. You can get a debit/debit payment for payment. There will be many options like a credit card, internet banking, UPI.
