Minister for Major and Medium Irrigation Ramesh Jarkiholi presented his resignation from Karnataka Cabinet on Wednesday, a day after claims of him looking for sexual kindnesses from a lady as a trade-off for an administration work arose. 

A CD supposedly containing accounts of his close minutes with the lady was submitted to Bengaluru police by a dissident on Wednesday. 

Mr. Jarkiholi has sent his renunciation letter to Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa and expressed that he was leaving the post to save the gathering from shame and that he ought to be restored once demonstrated blameless. He has depicted the claims as a long way from valid. We have seen bad form, quarrel, nectar trap, extorting as the thought process behind such recordings. I don't have a clue about reality, time will choose everything. Reality will come out after an examination," Ashwathnarayan informed columnists here when asked regarding Jarkiholi's supposed association in the sex tape case. 

I have seen the video of the state serve Ramesh Jarkiholi in the media. I will address the Chief Minister and the gathering boss about it. We will check the realness of the CD and make a move appropriately," the Union Minister said. A body of evidence was enlisted against Jarkiholi on Tuesday for supposedly explicitly attacking a lady. There hosted been fights by resistance gatherings since Tuesday requesting his abdication. 

Prior in the day his sibling and BJP pioneer Bakakrishna Jarkiholi met the Chief Minister and looked for a CBI investigation into the occurrence. Mr. Jarkiholi drove the group of 17 MLAs from the Opposition parties who changed to the BJP from the Congress, which ultimately prompted the fall of the Congress–JD(S) alliance government and the arrangement of the BJP government.
