The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is going to host the 13th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) from Saturday, 19th September. These matches are scheduled to play in Dubai, Sharjah, and Abu Dhabi during the IPL 2020, where 8 teams are taking part. Today, we are going to tell you about the captain of all the IPL franchises and their salary. However, the amount is only their retaining amount, which the captain and all the players get in three to four installments till the IPL is over. In addition, they get match fees and other allowances, but at the moment, we are going to tell you about their salary. The captain's salary in the IPL 2020 is Rs. 7 crores. The captain who gets the highest salary is Rs 17 crore. In the IPL, India will descend 6 captains while two are foreigners.

IPL 2020 captain and their salary:

Shreyas Iyer (DC) Salary- Rs 7 crore

In the year 2018, when Gautam Gambhir resigned as captain of Delhi Capitals, young player Shreyas Iyer was made the team captain. During his captaincy, the Delhi Capitals team played qualifiers of IPL 2019. On the same, he was again made captain by Delhi Capitals management for IPL 2020. As a player and captain, he is going to get Rs 7 crore for this IPL.

Dinesh Karthik (KKR) Salary- Rs 7.40 crore

Dinesh Karthik, who captained the two-time IPL winner Kolkata Knight Riders ( KKR) team for the past two years, reached the qualifiers in the 2018 season, but the last time team could not reach the top 4. Nevertheless, KKR has retained him as a captain. Skipper Dinesh Karthik is going to get Rs 7.4 crore from KKR this time's IPL.

KL Rahul (KXIP) Salary- Rs 11 crore

It is the first time that Lokesh Rahul becomes caption of any IPL team. Kings Eleven Punjab has appointed him as the team captain after going through R Ashwin's team. Under the guidance of KL Rahul and coach Anil Kumble, the team is ready to get the IPL title for the first time. Kings Eleven Punjab has retained him as players and captains in an amount of Rs 11 crore. 

David Warner (SRH) Salary- Rs 12.50 crore

Sunrisers Hyderabad's successful captain David Warner is once again going to lead the team. David Warner has made Sunrisers Hyderabad a one-time champion. Sunrisers Hyderabad has made David Warner a hefty sum for the IPL 2020. As a player and captain, David Warner will get Rs 12.5 crore for the 13th season of the IPL from Hyderabad franchises.

Steve Smith (RR) Salary - Rs 12.50 crore

Former Australian team captain Steve Smith was appointed as a team captain by Rajasthan Royals franchises last year. In the meantime, Ajinkya Rahane was given the team's captaincy to Smith. Earlier, in 2018, he was banned from the IPL as he was found guilty of ball tempering. For the IPL 2020, the Rajasthan team has retained him as players and captains in an amount of Rs. 12, 000 crore.

Rohit Sharma (MI) Salary- Rs 15 crore

Rohit Sharma, the most successful captain of the IPL and a four-time champion of Mumbai Indians, has been a player and captain in a hefty amount by a team owned by the country's richest house (Ambani family). Rohit Sharma is going to get a hefty sum of Rs 15 crore from Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020. He is entitled to this amount because he has given four titles to the team management.

MS Dhoni (CSK) Salary- Rs 15 crore

Chennai Super Kings had made former Indian team veteran and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as captain and player for Rs 15 crore for the IPL 2020. Mahendra Singh Dhoni of 38 years is still among the most expensive players. With the IPL being a three-time champion, the CSK has qualified for the qualifiers every time in Dhoni's captaincy. These sums suit him.

Virat Kohli (RCB) Salary - Rs 17 Crore

The most expensive captain in the IPL 2020 is Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli is going to get Rs 17 crore for this season on behalf of Royal Challengers Bangalore, i.e., RCB. Virat Kohli has won a lot of matches for the RCB as a batsman, but he has not yet been able to make the team champion of the IPL trophy. These sums suit them as batsmen, but he does not look successful as a captain.
