PAN and Aadhaar were last linked on June 30, 2023. Those who didn't link their PAN and Aadhaar before the deadline expired now have inactive PANs. It is not true, though, that PAN cannot be turned off now. Paying a fine of Rs. 1000 makes activating your PAN simple. Please tell us how to reactivate your PAN.
How to reactivate pan cards?
>> Log into your account on the Income Tax Department's e-filing website first before linking your PAN and Aadhaar.
>> After logging in, select the PAN with the Aadhaar link option.
>> You will be requested for personal information after visiting this link. It must be filled.
>> The fine amount of Rs. 1000 must be filled in after completing all the columns.
>> Through e-pay tax, you can conveniently pay the fine amount. After that, the Income Tax Department must receive its details.
After paying the fine, you'll have to wait one month.
You don't have to pay the fine before having your PAN activated. The PAN won't get back to being active for a month. Following the payment of the fine, you must notify the relevant department. After a month, the department will reactivate your PAN based on your provided information.
Suppose you pay the fine on July 2nd. Your PAN will be activated on August 1st if you request PAN activation once more after that. According to experts, this fine payment will take the shape of further payments. Therefore, when paying the fine, make the right choice.
