Aadhaar has been introduced as the most important and most reliable proof of identity and address for Indian residents. This includes not only demographic details but also biometric data of the cardholder, which is why this document is not so easy to create, as it was until some time ago, the Aadhaar card is given after going through a very difficult process. The Aadhaar issuing authority, UIDAI, has made a provision to include all residents living in India under the scheme, irrespective of their age. Aadhaar card for children has been issued by UIDAI. Even new newborns are eligible for the Aadhaar card. Many hospitals have started enrolling children for Aadhaar, and they provide Aadhaar acknowledgment slip along with birth certificate these days. Aadhaar for children under 5 years of age 

Now the first question here comes as to what and how you have to do so that your child can get Aadhaar Card. Now you have to take care of some of the important things that we are going to tell. If you want to make the Aadhaar of your child under 5 years of age, you need to take care of these things. 

How to Apply Aadhaar Card for children below 5 years of age

You have to go to your nearest Aadhaar enrolment center. Then you will also have to fill in the Aadhaar enrolment form, besides you have to provide your Aadhaar number here as well. If your child is under 5 years of age, you have to provide the Aadhaar of one of the parents. Your child's photo is also going to be needed here. Also, other details such as your address, parent, etc., are filled out. However, you need a child's birth certificate. Fingerprints and Iris scans are not necessary for children under 5 years of age. Now when all the process is completed, you are provided with an acknowledge slip, which contains your enrolment number. You can use this Aadhaar enrolment number to check Aadhaar status. You get your child's Aadhaar card thereafter within 90 days.

Aadhaar Card for children aged 5-15 years

If we discuss the Aadhaar card of children from 5 years to 15 years, there is also the same process as an adult. UIDAI has not made any difference based on children and adults. However, for children from 5 years to 15 years, some changes in the process have not come to the fore.

Aadhaar card for children above 5 years or 5 years  

For this also you have to go to your nearest Aadhaar enrolment client center. Here you need to fill out the Aadhaar enrolment client form. If you do not have a valid address certificate for your child, you need to fill your Aadhaar number in this form. Now you have to submit this form with the necessary documents. The child's biometrics are then taken here, and iris scans are also here, as well as photos taken here. As soon as this process is completed, you are provided with an acronym sleep, which has your child's aadhaar enrolment client number. This enrolment client number can be used to check Aadhaar status. Now within 90 days, you get your child's Aadhaar card available.
