If you are habitual to eating junk food, you should be more cautious because it has found more salt and fat content than the recommended amount. This has been declared in the Center for Science and Environment (CSE) statement. It states that from pizza to noodles, burgers, sandwiches, snacks, and chips can cause you health issues and illness, as these foods have a high quantity of salt and fat. Various leading brands' pizzas and burgers have also found high trans fat. CSE issued a lab statement that common packaged foods and junk food have so much salt that you can quickly become unhealthy. According to CSE, a single person requires 2000 kilocalories in a day. It should contain salt 5 grams, carbohydrates 300 grams, fat 60 grams, and only transfat up to 2.2 grams.

CSE says that food items like chips, noodles, pizzas, burgers, salted soups, French fries, fried chicken, and sandwiches, etc., have been found to have a large amount of salt. The CSE assembled samples of 33 junk foods and then began working on the record in July and now published that all these foods have a high salt content. The CSE had taken all these samples from the retail shop and market in Delhi. 19 units of pizza and junk food were taken. All samples did not suffice the criteria. The head of CSE Lab, Mrinal Malik, says that in all these products, companies have provided incorrect knowledge about transfat in their samples. These foods have a high amount of trans fat, which can give you heart condition. All these foods have not persisted in the designated criteria. Food control FSSAI says there will be a red tag on the packet when there is more salt and fat than an established limit. Having a red tag will definitely identify the food item of the children. But it has been observed in many leading junk food brands.

CSE says Haldiram nutcrackers, instant noodles and soups (Maggi and Knorr) were also found to be very high in salt. The quantity was also found to be very high in samples of burgers (McDonald's and Burger King), pizza (Dominos and Pizza hut), and (Subway) sandwiches. Uncle chips are high in the quantity of salt in the spicy treat (PepsiCo), two-way multigrain chips, classic nutcrackers (Haldiram), Maggi masala (Nestle), flour noodles (Patanjali), etc. You should be careful if you eat junk food from these companies or use products. CSE says that the two-way multi-grain chips, which are advertised by cricketer Virat Kohli, have been found to have the highest salt content in one gram to thirty grams of chips. Similarly, the food items of Burger King, Pizza Hut, and Subway have also been found to have more trans fat.
