The Delhi government has launched a job website intending to bring together unemployed and employers in the country's capital, Delhi. Businesses, shops, and other businesses that have opened up under the unlock process and those who need employees will have the option to choose people registered on this website. In case of a job for those youths in Delhi who do not have to wander in search of jobs, they can register on the government's website and look for jobs. Interestingly, this job is for the people of Delhi, and people from other states are also applying for it. The job portal launched by the Delhi government gives employers and job-seeking people the same platform. This way, both work becomes easier.
How to apply for Job:
- First, you have to visit http://jobs.delhi.gov.in/.
- Then select the option 'I want a job.'
- After that, you have to fill your details and mobile number.
- At last, click on submit.
- Once you register on this website, then you will be able to check job options as per your skills and qualification, and from there, you will be able to apply for jobs.
According to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, "We now have to gradually put the economy back to Delhi. Everything was closed in lockdown, a lot of people were employed. Now we have to work together to provide employment for the people. When businesses open after unlock, they're looking for work-seekers. Both job seekers and job seekers are present in Delhi." The Delhi government has launched the "Job Market" scheme, keeping in mind both. When an employee registers on this website and chooses a job category of his choice, the job available from him appears on the website. The employee can contact the employer over the phone or on WhatsApp by clicking on the job of choice.
According to the Delhi Chief Minister's office, 50,000 employees registered on the website just hours after the website was launched on July 27. In the meantime, 1,071 employers invited 18,585 job applications. During the lockdown, most of the migrant workers returned to their home states and are returning to metros like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata in search of employment after the unlock process began. However, there are some areas where the ban is continuing, and employment opportunities have not been created so far.
According to a media report, people from other states register and call employers on the Delhi government portal. Even from West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Karnataka, Kerala, employers are getting calls. Till Tuesday evening, 1.89 lakh people registered on the portal in search of jobs. Within two days, 4,294 employers had invited one lakh job application in 32 categories. Most job seekers want data entry or back-office work. Some people are also looking for work at school or tuition, while others express their concern about sales and marketing. Besides, there are also unemployed applications for the post of Beauty Parlour, House Keeping, and Peon.
