Only members of your immediate family, such as parents, siblings, sons, daughters, or your wife, are permitted to transfer tickets, according to railway regulations. Your closest friends will not be able to travel on your ticket as a result.
How to transfer?
You must first take the printed copy of the ticket to the nearest railway station to transfer it. Bring identity proof for the person whose ticket is being transferred, such as an Aadhaar card. When applying, you must request a ticket transfer.
The transfer has to be done 24 hours in advance.
To transfer a ticket to someone else's name, per railway regulations, you must apply 24 hours before. You must apply 48 hours in advance if you wish to attend the wedding.
