You no longer need to fill out a two-page application form to get a new PAN card, nor do you need to wait for a few days. The income tax department has introduced a new facility for taxpayers. If you have an Aadhaar card, you will be provided with an online PAN card immediately without any delay. Also, no fee will be charged for the same. In the instant e-PAN card application form you will only need to enter your Aadhaar card number. Thereafter, your linked mobile phone number one OTP will be sent for the e-KYC process. Then, in 10 minutes, you will be issued a permanent account number (PAN) in PDF format. An e-PAN card is much better than the physical copy, but you can get a laminated PAN card by ordering a reprint at just Rs 50.

Apply for online instant PAN card like this

First, visit the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department and click on "Instant PAN through Aadhaar" of the "Quick Links" section on the left. Now click on "Get New PAN" on the new page. Now enter your Aadhaar number for the allotment of the new PAN card. Then enter the captcha code. Now an OTP will be generated on your linked mobile phone number. Enter OTP and validate Aadhaar information. You will also have the option to validate your e-mail ID for the PAN Card application. Now the e-KYC data of your Aadhaar number will be exchanged with UIDAI, after which you will be issued the instant e-PAN. The whole process will not take more than 10 minutes. Now you can click "Check Status/Download PAN" download your PAN card in PDF format by submitting Aadhaar number on PAN.' If your e-mail ID is registered with the Aadhaar database, your e-mail will also be sent to you in pdf format.

This process of getting an online instant pen card is completely free, easy, and paperless. You will not need to upload any documents on the portal.
