Not everybody works with models. Many photographers do the job of shooting with normal people and want to make them look like the models. So, when the people don’t have any experience controlling or posing their face for the camera, then what will you do? Below discussed are some tips to make your portrait like models.
Pose the Hair– We don’t think of hair as the body part. If you are shooting a person with long hair, then bad hair is the first thing anyone notices. You can place the hair all behind the shoulders, in front of the shoulders, on one side, on the other side and hair up.
Pull the Chin and Ears forward- When a person stands in the normal or relaxed position, or stands up straight with the nice posture, there is a small flab right under the chin. The chin can be put forward and also to bring their ears forward.
Lift the Arm- When people stand normally, another thing a person do is to stand with their arms flat. It makes them look uncomfortable and awkward in the photo. Also, their arm presses against the torso. You can correct this by just lifting arm an inch. Also, you can pose the hand so the arm is in a different position.
Leave Visual Space by the Waist- Everyone wants to look thin. One of the things you can do to trim down by putting the “natural” waist. You can visually isolate the skinny part of the torso to look thin.
Turn the Shoulders-If you stares at the camera head-on, you will look bigger. Keep yourself turn and show a slimmer profile of yourself to the camera to look slimmer.
Hence, with these tips you can pose yourself as a model.
