Malaika Arora finally opened up on her separation with Arbaaz Khan and how tough the decision was. She was speaking with Kareena Kapoor Khan on a radio show, Malaika said she evaluated all the choices before she took the decision.
Speaking on the show What Women Want, she said the disposition to blame someone is always there. She said that it is never, ever easy, like no other key decision in the life. At the finale of the day, someone has to be blamed and have to point finger at someone. I think that is the general human nature to go about things.
Although, she decided to go with the divorce as she and Arbaaz were unhappy. She further added that they thought about many things and weighed every single pros and cons and then part our ways. As they were two people in a same situation making each other extremely unhappy?
Malaika and Arbaaz got divorced in 2017 after 19 years of marriage and have 16-year-old son, Arhaan. She further added that even the night before divorce, I had my family sit and asked her, if she was sure.
She further said that there were many people who termed her brave for the decision. She said in the radio show that if you are in an unhappy marriage and decide to part your ways then you must do it with dignity, and self-respect.
She accepted that it was comparatively tough for women to move on with lives after divorce. Although, she advised women to date after a divorce. She said that it is quite possible. Swipe left, right, whatever it might be! Have fun! For the first time in the life, you can also discover a kind of freedom. Hence, you must enjoy your life and lead with dignity.
